Arguably the best shooter in the state, Bixby High School’s Parker Friedrichsen has worked hard to get where he is today. Now a junior, Friedrichsen is a leader on the off the court for head coach Lance Kight. We caught up with Friedrichsen to get his thoughts on what it means to be a student-athlete at Bixby High School.
VYPE: Parker, do you know how long you have played basketball competitively?
Friedrichsen: I’ve played competitive basketball ever since I can remember.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates at Bixby?
Friedrichsen: My teammates are special to me. They are like family.
VYPE: What is it you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at Bixby High School?
Friedrichsen: I love the support we get playing for Bixby. We all want to see each other succeed.
VYPE: When you have some free time, what could we expect to see you doing with it?
Friedrichsen: I like playing golf, ping pong and spending time with friends.
