“Aydin has been a part of the team for four years. He was sick for two of the four years and barely got to swim his freshman and sophomore years. He would have been a Top 8 swimmer all four years if he was healthy. He placed second in the 100-fly last year at state, and Top 8 in the 100-back, even though he still struggles with bouts of nausea. He is also on the state Top 8 placing relay teams. He has broken the school record in the 100-fly. He will hopefully win the 100-fly this year,” said coach Christa Thompson.
VYPE: What was the name of the first team you were ever on and what sport was it?
Horn: The first team I was ever on was called the Knights and it was baseball.
VYPE: If you were stranded on an island who are the three people you would want with you and why?
Horn: If I was stranded on an island I would want Dwayne Johnson, Elon Musk, and Ernie Brown Jr. because they would give the best ability to survive. Johnson for his strength, Musk for his brains, and Brown for his ability to handle the environment.
VYPE: What is one thing you want to cross off your bucket list in the next five years?
Horn: I want to Scuba dive in Australia, the Arctic Circle, or Antarctica in the next five years.
