Head coach Sam Fairchild said he wants to utilize the team’s strengths and minimize their weaknesses on both ends of the floor. With four returning starters, experience isn’t a big concern as Bixby works to stay competitive all season. Xavier Glenn (6-3, Sr.) is a next-level type talent and can play all positions. Last year he averaged 18 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as a junior. Parker Friedrichsen (6-2, So.) could be the best shooter in the area. Last season he averaged 14 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per contest. Another player to watch is Luke Hasz (6-3, So.) at forward. Hasz is a tremendous athlete averaging 8.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Connor Loney does all the dirty work for little recognition. This nucleus of players could mean the Spartans have the formula to have a winning season. Something to Watch – Glenn is one of the top players in the Frontier Conference and could see himself playing at the DI level next year.
