May 4th, 2021 – Bixby’s Lady Spartans took the girls regional tennis championship at Bixby on May 4th, 2021. The Lady Spartans won all matches at #1 singles, #1 doubles, #2 singles and #2 doubles to win the team championship with 36 points and qualify to compete in the OSSAA State Championship on May 7th & 8th.
On May 8th, the Lady Spartans, coached by Doug Hennigan, obtained the Runner-Up Championship in Class 6A. The #1 singles player, Maggie Holcomb, finished in 3rd place along with the #2 singles player, Olivia Thompson. Allison Fiske and Becca Powers finished a strong runner-up as Bixby’s #2 doubles team. Taylor Conway and Savannah Lee WON at the #1 doubles spot to remain undefeated for the year.
