Sophomore wrestler Clayton Giddens-Buttram placed 2nd at the state tournament wrestling at 126-pounds. Even though he’s only a sophomore, Giddens-Buttram has wrestled for over a decade. “I started wrestling eleven years ago,” said Giddens-Buttram.
The Bixby wrestling team finished third overall. Giddens-Buttram said his teammates mean a lot to him.“My teammates are my family,” said Giddens-Buttram. “I love the support we get at Bixby High School as student-athletes.”
Now that the wrestling season is over and the temperatures are on the rise, Giddens-Buttram said you can probably find him outside at his favorite fishing hole very soon. “In my free time I like to fish and spend time outdoors,” said Giddens-Buttram. Look for this sophomore to continue making noise on the wrestling mat for another two years at Bixby High School.
