After spending two seasons as an assistant coach, Lance Kight takes over the Spartan basketball program that features several players with big time stats. Parker Friedrichsen (6-3, Jr.) is one of those players. Friedrichsen has offers from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State after averaging 27.9 points a game as a sophomore with 4.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds. In total, Friedrichsen has 19 Division I offers to date. Coach Kight believes he is the best pure shooter and scorer in Oklahoma. Many people would agree. Triston Madden (6-3, Sr.) averaged 7.7 points with 7.4 rebounds per game last year. Madden brings senior leadership to the floor and the ability to make you pay for trying to double Fredrichsen. Also look for Sam McCormick (6-4, So.) at forward who averaged 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds as a freshman. McCormick is widely considered one of the top sophomores in the Frontier Conference. Devin Isham (6-2, Jr.) brings the energy on both ends of the court. Last year he managed 5.5 points a game with 3.3 steals. Nic Elliott (6-3, So.) is another threat at guard. Elliott accounted for 2.8 points and 3.1 assists. His number are almost certain to climb this year. Jonah Surman is another player to watch. He is the ultimate team player and tries to make his team and teammates better every day.
