VYPE: What are your personal goals this year and how is the season going?
Max: Some of my personal goals for this season were breaking the home run record and really just making the best impact on the game every time I stepped on the field. This season has been amazing in every way, I love my teammates and coaches. Our chemistry is what keeps us winning.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Max: The most fun I’ve had in the last year would be just anytime I get with my friends. I think of hanging out with my friends as a time to take a step back from the pressure and just have fun.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Max: My favorite teacher would have to be my 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Poindexter, mainly because even after I left her class, I could still remember all the good times I had with her.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Max: My favorite athletic memory would have to be last year when we beat Union at ONEOK field. We had the most support from the Bixby fan base I have ever seen. The environment was ecstatic and just gave me chills.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Max: In my opinion there is not just one teammate that has had the biggest impression. Every single person I have played with has impacted me in a way to make me work harder or have a better outlook on the game.
VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?
Max: I don’t know about the best impression of our coach but what I do know is Nate Bickle makes the funniest comments during the game. I think it’s just the fact that no matter the score or who we are playing he just says whatever is on his mind. And everything he says he makes sure not only our team, but the other team can hear.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Max: If I could pick a vacation spot and person to go with me, I would have to go with Hawaii and I’m taking my brother with me.
VYPE: If we gave you 500 dollars and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?
Max: If I had 24 hours to spend 500 dollars, first I would go out to get a nice breakfast, then go out shopping and get a couple of nice shoes, after that go back out to eat at a nice steakhouse.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Max: I just want to say thank you to my family and friends for being there for me and my coaches for pushing me to be where I am today.
